ECA Animation
Bouncing Balls:
For this animation, I need to work on a couple of things firstly the camera settings when I'm shooting and keeping the sizing consistent.
I am happy with the smoothness of this animation and the overall motion, however, I need to make it longer as well as further emphasizing the camera shake.
Portals:
This animation overall I am very happy with and I really enjoyed making it, however, there are things that I would improve such as adjusting the arc that the ball flys off the screen at as well as how fast the ball accelerates.
Walk Cycle Prep:

Walk Cycle 1:
This was my first walk cycle and there are several mistakes in the cycle but all in all, I am really happy with how this walk cycle turned out as you can definitely tell its a relatively normal walk with good character design (based on a life drawing) and i even added secondary movement in the scarf.

Ina Walk Cycle:
This particular project was one of my favourites of the whole semester it was incredibly fun to let go of my own style and experiment with different frame compositions, for instance, I have added extra tweens to the top of the step to give it a lumbering gait.
Monk Project:

This project is the piece of work that I have invested the most time in having produced a character design a storyboard and I have now animate the motion of the sequence as a base frame that I am now animating the monk himself over the top of.
My favourite part of this animation so far is the motion I have managed to animate of the figure sitting down cross-legged as it was a very difficult motion for me to wrap my head around and I think that it looks organic and natural.

SEMESTER 2
Poem:

StoryboardExperiment:

This was a brief experiment into storyboarding where I took a scene from "Avatar the Last Airbender" and storyboarded it posthumously.
Poem Visualisations:
Here are the initial visualisations of my poem. To create these I took lines from the poem and created visualisations of how I imagined them.
I think that I should have done more of these visualisations as well as iterative visualisations of each line.
After Effects Experiment:

Finito
With this experiment into After Effects I learnt many skills to do with the program and how I could manipulate different file types e.g photoshop files in conjunction with my frame animations to give great senses of depth as well as learning how to sync a background to a moving point of focus.
Overall as an experiment, I feel that it was incredibly successful however if I were to put more time into it I would rotoscope the figure out completely and retouch the synching at the Passover frame of each step.
Stop Motion Experiment:
Here, Joseph and I experimented with stop motion in a loose animation session using plasticine to create a fun looping animation with a little bit of narrative. I really enjoyed this method of animation as it was nice and tactile giving a rewarding and immediate sense of motion as well as having fun with the narrative.
The only improvements I would make are the quality of the camera as well as having a more controlled light source that wouldn't cast our shadow.
Storyboarding:

These are my storyboards for my poem "Fear and the Monkey"
Storyboarding:

Fear And The Monkey final Cut
This is the animation I ended up with at the end of this project. Ultimately I am not brilliantly happy with this animation though there are aspects that I do like such as the use of after effects and hand-drawn animation in tandem to give the looking down effect at the sea as well as the animation of the smoke forming the skull however ultimately I feel that this piece is simply unfinished.
